worn: joules and docs

We had some amazing weather over the weekend; blue skies, a crisp morning and the sun beaming down, but man alive, it was cold. The crocuses and daffodils are popping up everywhere, leaf buds are appearing on the trees, and everything looks a whole lot more like spring might be finally here – but I still had to put leggings under my tights to avoid hypothermia!
I thought the glorious non-rainy weather was a good time to break out my new Joules dress and Doc Marten boots that were birthday gifts from my lovely parents; the dress is so comfy, but a little thin, so I popped a denim shirt underneath, and then topped it off with one of my favourite charity shop coats. I was surprised at how soft the boots were – about ten years ago, I had a pair of cherry red ones that were utterly impossible to break in; they gave me numb toes and felt like I had lead weights strapped to my feet. I don’t know what’s changed, but these are honestly like walking on air – absolutely no stiffness or blisters at all. Which is good, because limping isn’t a good look…..

In other news, to the right you might notice a little list of features (I’m currently making some fancy shmancy buttons, but for now the text will have to do) – over the weekend, I went through and categorised everything on the blog. So now you can pick and choose your subjects and read everything I’ve ever written in that area at the touch of a button (my photography used to be a little over-processed – I spent a long time being addicted to that filter that makes everything look like it’s from the sixties….). Fancy looking at my clothes? Click ‘worn’. Anything to do with photography or visiting places? Try ‘life in pictures’. It took me hours, so please, enjoy it!
