Issue one was a resounding success, full of beautiful illustrations and wonderful writing, flying off of shelves and through the post left, right and centre. So it’s with great pleasure that I can tell you all that issue two of Lionheart magazine is available to buy right now. Huzzah!
I was lucky enough to meet creator Helen Martin on Twitter a year or so ago, and contributed to issue one with some book reviews, an illustration and a couple of photographs. This time I submitted a craft piece – how to make your nicest tea towels into embellished cushions – complete with step by step instructions and a few pictures. Ta da:
Also featured is the wonderful Shipshape Studio, Cherry Healey, the Homemade Mama, film and book reviews and the continuing diary of Fritha Strickland’s pregnancy. Packed full of readable, interesting and quirky pieces, this is the best £5 you’ll spend on a magazine this month. Visit the Lionheart website to grab your copy now.

I really need to track this down in a shop – because it looks right up my street 🙂 I can't justify £7+ on a mah through the post – so I shall have to venture into town :)Awesome on being featured 🙂
ah thanks for the mention, it feels weird reading my piece back now, I dont remember feeling that way! BTW thanks so much for your comment on my blog, i wrote back but wanted to say here also please please never feel guilty, you were let down by the system and you are a fantastic mum!! xx
Thanks for the mention – LOVE your tea towel cushion tutorial. I must make some, I have so many tea towels I love that I always thought I'd get framed but never get round to it – cushions would be perfect!x
@Charly – it's definitely worth the cash, so many quirky and interesting features. A right good read!@Fritha – Thank you for your lovely comment, I actually didn't know you'd replied, I shall go and have a look! Isn't it funny how once baby arrives, you completely forget how it feels to be pregnant – it all comes flooding back with the positive test for the second child though!@Georgia – Thank you! Make sure you do a blog post when you whip up some of those cushions, I'd love to see them. Oh, and you should definitely start designing patterns for fabrics – I was thinking how good the back inner cover of Lionheart 2 would be as a quilt or pillow case!
