Breakfast; out and about; the view from above at 32 weeks; a little light shopping; vintage lovelies for the post-baby months ( I’m literally counting the days now); Pyrex love; play; making and mending; browsing Etsy; five minutes peace.
Recently, I decided to try not editing my photographs as much – I do love the 1960’s effect, and the fantastic cross-process tool on Picnik, but I’ve been thinking for a while that I’d like to strip the images back. Highlight the good bits, rather than make it into something it’s not – I think there’s actually a fine line between creativity and over-doing it, and it’s possible I may have recently stuck my toe over it (or even my whole foot). That said, I don’t have a fancy-pants Canon or Nikon, just a 10MP Olympus, so I’m waiting to see what the quality of images are like before I commit to anything!
I’ve also decided on a few regular features that’ll be popping up on the blog – ‘One Day’ being one of them. I know a lot of bloggers take part in ‘A Picture an Hour’, but I can’t imagine actually remembering to keep photographing at such regular intervals, so this is my version. I’m also going to start doing more on clothes again – I was looking through some old pictures the other day, and besides thinking how much my style had changed (less crazy pattern mixing, more dresses), I realised how much I missed having outfit posts and style features on here. We’re still experimenting with the eco-friendly side of things (I think vegetable shopping is something that’s going to stay problematic unless we move to London or win the lottery…), and are slowly discovering that it’s all about balance; there’s no such thing as perfect, but every little helps. We’re also in the process of decorating our home (still rented, sigh…), so there’ll be an increase in interiors posts – as well as more baby and child related bits and pieces. Phew!
A perfectly perfect day- some lovely frocks there for post-pregnancy!
I don't tend to style my photos very much as I'm just too lazy!! Lovely photos, so great to see what's in shop windows elsewhere. Is that a clutch of Stylecraft yarn? I have overdosed on Stylecraft recently so have forced myself 🙂 to buy something different. Enjoy your weekend.
